Pre-care:

• Maintain your normal eating and hydration routine.

• Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing on the day of treatment.

• Tell your provider about all medical conditions, medications, recent surgeries, scars, hernias, skin conditions, allergies, or sensitivities.

• Inform your provider if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking blood-thinning medications, or have a condition that makes you sensitive to cold.

• Avoid treatment over areas with open wounds, active infection, or significant skin irritation.

Post-care:

• Stay well hydrated.

• Resume normal activity as tolerated.

• Avoid excessive pressure or irritation to the treated area if it feels sensitive.

• Maintain a healthy lifestyle to help maintain your body-contouring results.

• Contact our office if you experience symptoms that are severe, unusual, worsening, or concerning.

Results:

CoolSculpting® permanently eliminates treated fat cells, helping create a more sculpted and contoured appearance. Clinical studies have shown up to a 20–25% reduction in the fat layer within a treated area.

Results develop gradually as the body naturally processes the treated fat cells. Patients may begin noticing changes within several weeks, with results typically becoming more noticeable 1–3 months after treatment.

The number of treatments needed depends on the treatment area, amount of fat present, and your individual goals. Many patients benefit from more than one treatment session, typically spaced 4–8 weeks apart.

Once treated fat cells are eliminated, they do not regenerate. However, remaining fat cells can still enlarge with weight gain, so maintaining a stable weight and healthy lifestyle can help maintain your results.

Contraindications:

• Cryoglobulinemia

• Cold agglutinin disease

• Paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria

These conditions can cause serious reactions to cold exposure and are contraindications to CoolSculpting® treatment.

CoolSculpting® Elite may also not be appropriate for certain patients or treatment areas. Please inform your provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or have any of the following:

• Raynaud’s disease or other known sensitivity to cold

• Cold urticaria, pernio, or chilblains

• Poor circulation in the treatment area

• Neuropathy or impaired skin sensation

• Open or infected wounds

• Bleeding disorders or use of blood-thinning medications

• Recent surgery or significant scar tissue in the treatment area

• A hernia in or near the treatment area

• Known allergies or sensitivities to materials used during treatment
