What is the difference between DiamondGlow™ and Microdermabrasion?

While both DiamondGlow™ and Microdermabrasion remove a portion of the upper layer of the skin (stratum corneum), the DiamondGlow™ treatment is much more controlled & consistent in the way it operates. Rather than blasting particles at the skin (as with older microdermabrasion devices) or pushing an abrasive tip across the skin by hand, DiamondGlow™ uses the controlled vacuum pressure to pull the skin up into a chamber in the handpiece.  In this way, the skin is evenly abraded just as aggressively or as softly as the vacuum pressure is set by the skincare professional. This is significant because all other devices rely on the operator for consistency to apply the same pressure, at the same speed, consistently over the skin.

How often do I need to get DiamondGlows?

We recommend a series of 4-6 DiamondGlows™ treatments every 2 weeks to reach optimal results. Then, clients can switch to maintenance appointments once a month.

What are the side effects and is there any downtime?

The skin may appear red immediately following the treatment, but this is temporary and will subside within a few hours. As there is no downtime, you can resume normal daily activities and exercise following your treatment.
